“ | Leon the Lion is no coward. This large feline has moved to the mean streets of Las Vegas, and is now the 'mane attraction' as the king of concrete urban jungle. Just listen as his royal roar echoes through the city." | ” |
— Official Rampage: Total Destruction description
|
Leon is a lion monster that made he first debut in Rampage: Total Destruction. He is one of 30 playable monsters (40 on the Nintendo Wii version). This is the only Rampage game he has appeared in.
Appearance[]
To be added
Background[]
Leon was just an ordinary human until he drank Scum Soda and had a violent reaction that mutated he into a giant lion monster. He then went on a rampage until he was captured and imprisoned in a Cryo-Tube hidden in Las Vegas.
Abilities[]
Roar Attack takes less energy to perform.
Strategy[]
He can be unlocked as a playable monster in Las Vegas if the player is able to free him from the Cryo-Tube. His Cryo-Tube is hidden in the middle building in Harry's; the player can free him by punching a hole in the building he is hidden, and if the player spots a glint of a bright green aura flashing from the hole, the player must punch the hole to smash the Cryo-Tube and set Leon free.
- Using any starting monster on the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the game will result in Leon physically hopping out of the building and walking off the screen.
Leon will then become a playable monster in the Monster Selection Menu.
Trivia[]
- Leon's name comes from the Spanish word for "Lion".
- In Rampage: Total Destruction, a lion's face similar to Leon's can be seen on a billboard throughout the game, with the words "King of the Jungle" next to it and "JUBILANT!" just beneath. However, it is actually a parody of the Broadway musical adaptation of the Disney animated film The Lion King.
