— Official Rampage: Total Destruction description
|
Gilman is a blow-fish monster that made his first debut in Rampage: Total Destruction. He is one of 30 playable monsters (40 on the Nintendo Wii version). This is the only Rampage game he has appeared in.
Background[]
Gilman was just an ordinary human until he drank Scum Soda and had a violent reaction that mutated him into a giant blow-fish-like monster. He then went on a rampage until he was captured and imprisoned in a Cryo-Tube. At an unknown point, Rhett somehow broke out of his Cryo-Tube and continue his rampage throughout the city.

Trivia[]
- Gilman's name is a pun the fact that he is a fish (as fish have gills).
- Gilman looks very similar to Kineticlops' 4th costume in War of the Monsters. The 4th costume is an amphibious-looking monster with fins, webbed hands & feet and having a hunched over figure. The resemblance between the two is likely just a coincidence however.
- Gilman's design is likely a reference to The Gillman, the monster from Universal Pictures' Creature from the Black Lagoon films.
- Despite being referred to as a Blowfish, Gilman bears little resemblance to one.
- Gilman and Nick are the only two monsters that have equal stats.
