Cal is a squid-like monster that made his first debut in Rampage: Total Destruction. He is one of 30 playable monsters (40 on the Nintendo Wii version). This is the only Rampage game he has appeared in.
Background[]
Cal drank some Scum Soda and had a violent reaction, turning him into a giant, walking squid.
Abilities[]
- Gains health from punching water in buildings and can't be knock off by it.
Trivia[]
- Cal's name is a pun on the word "Calamari", a famous Italian dish made from squid.
- Cal like takes inspiration from giant squids, the Kraken, and other colossal cephalopods from many film adaptations of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne, the 1996 film adaptation of Peter Benchley's novel Beast , and Gezora, a giant squid-like kaiju from the movie Space Amoeba.
- There is a post-credits scene on the Blu-Ray version of Rampage including a massive squid or octopus, a possible reference to Cal.
