— Official Rampage: Total Destruction description
|
Amanda is an Armadillo monster that made her first debut in Rampage: Total Destruction. She is one of 30 playable monsters on the Playstation 2 and GameCube versions of the game (40 on the Nintendo Wii version). This is the only Rampage game she has ever appeared in.
Amanda has much more health than the majority of monsters so she can withstand attacks from S.W.A.T teams or Military Forces.
However she is fairly slow.
Background[]
Rampage: Total Destruction (2006)[]
Amanda was just an ordinary human until she participated in a trial of taste testing the latest product of Scumlabs: Scum Soda, a green fizzy drink. Unfortunately, when she consumed the fizzy drink, she began to suffer a violent reaction, which caused her to mutate into a giant Armadillo. She then went on a rampage until she was captured and imprisoned in a Cryo-Tube hidden in Los Angeles.
Strategy[]
She can be unlocked as a playable monster in Los Angeles if the player is able to free her from her Cryo-Tube. Her Cryo-Tube is hidden in a building called Studio B; the player can free her by punching a hole in the building she is hidden, and if the player spots a glint of a bright green aura flashing from the hole, the player must punch the hole to smash the Cryo-Tube and set Amanda free.
- Using Lizzie the Dinosaur on the Playstation 2 and Nintendo GameCube versions of the game will result in Amanda physically hopping out of the building and walk off the screen.
- Using Jack the Jackalope on the Nintendo Wii version of the game will result in Amanda physically hopping out of the building and walking off the screen.
Amanda the Armadillo will then become a playable monster in the Monster Selection Menu.

Trivia[]
- Amanda's name is likely a reference to the fact that "Amanda" sounds vaguely like "Armadillo".
- Though Amanda is an armadillo it is unknown what kind of armadillo she is. She could be a Nine-banded Armadillo, as they are found in Texas.
- Amanda could possibly be inspired by Anguirus from the Godzilla franchise, due to the fact that both characters have a huge shell. However, Amanda is an armadillo, Anguirus is an Ankylosaur.
